60 day voicemail frustration

By: andreww | 14-05-2013 16:26

A little known fact is that if you don't access your giffgaff voicemail for 60 days any customisation is lost (no pin, no personalised greeting etc) and you're not informed it has happened :smileysad:

If having gone to the trouble of setting these, to find if you did need to urgently check voicemail from another phone if would be very annoying to find you can't!

This is idea is very simple - once a PIN and/or a personalised greeting has been set - just leave it there without any time limits for it to be removed :smileywink:

Agree with this idea. Only use voicemail occassionally but a nuisance to have to set the PIN every time. Don't understand why it's reset anyway. None of my other passwords or PINs for other suppliers and services are reset, even if they're not used for a while.

just discovered this behaviour, after coming back from using HulloMail (I know, native VisualVoicemail is a separate lab request thread!)

I don’t get voicemails left that often, but when it happens I’d like to be able to know they can be, and I can quickly call and listen to them (again, VisualVoicemail would be great..)

This issue was raised a long time ago. Surely it's easy to resolve. Instead of Giffgaff monitoring voicemail usage they just leave it alone?

Have they explained the motivation behind apparently needing it to be accessed within the 60days?

I didn't even realise this till recently. I doesn't make sense to turn them off. I can't understand why.

This needs to be reviewed and amended. I nearly missed a job offer as my voicemail was disabled.

what about topping up via QR codes or barcodes that would be easier suppose it would be quite cheap for company to be able to do that as well but phone calls no not phone number NO has anybody ever tried topping up the phone when it's windy and stuff like that but we have QR code it was so simple when it all the barcode agree with that a phone call let me a phone call added to the actual top-up voucher
