60 day voicemail frustration

By: andreww | 14-05-2013 16:26

A little known fact is that if you don't access your giffgaff voicemail for 60 days any customisation is lost (no pin, no personalised greeting etc) and you're not informed it has happened :smileysad:

If having gone to the trouble of setting these, to find if you did need to urgently check voicemail from another phone if would be very annoying to find you can't!

This is idea is very simple - once a PIN and/or a personalised greeting has been set - just leave it there without any time limits for it to be removed :smileywink:

As a newbie, I had no idea that this happens - I do hope I have not chosen the wrong provider. Please do something about this Giffgaff.

Very useful for those users, me for example 8>), who are out of the coverage areas for lengthy periods.

Sounds like a very sensible suggestion. Wonder why it isn't happening???

When I first switched provider to giffgaff many years ago, I can remember emailing and questioning why I had to keep resetting all my voicemail settings. I was not informed that if you did not access your voicemail for 60 days all would be lost. Over the years I have got in to the habit of periodically calling my voicemail even if I have no messages to prevent this very annoying thing from happening. I have never encountered this problem with any of my past network providers. Giffgaff can you please instruct your technical guys to fix this from happening as it is 2018 and we all have better things to do with our time than to be re-recording our personal greetings and passwords all the time. Personally for me this is probably about the only thing I would moan about regarding the service I receive. Keep up the good work giffgaff and do the right thing!!!!!!!
