60 day voicemail frustration

By: andreww | 14-05-2013 16:26

A little known fact is that if you don't access your giffgaff voicemail for 60 days any customisation is lost (no pin, no personalised greeting etc) and you're not informed it has happened :smileysad:

If having gone to the trouble of setting these, to find if you did need to urgently check voicemail from another phone if would be very annoying to find you can't!

This is idea is very simple - once a PIN and/or a personalised greeting has been set - just leave it there without any time limits for it to be removed :smileywink:

I'm fairly new to giffgaff and am very happy with it so far. However, I have been frustrated at not being able to access my voicemail and repeatedly being asked to set up a new PIN for it. I had no idea why this was happening til I looked at this thread! I agree with the majority, this needs reviewing urgently, if only so I can get rid of the voicemail symbol that is permanently on my screen!

I'm all for this as well. I've set my elderly mother's message to confirm to callers that it's the right number and saying "Don't leave a message as she'll not be able to play it back. Just try again later please.". By definition she'll never access it but I want people to get a personalised message. I keep having to redo it for her.

Surely that's just common sense?

If you've set something up, you expect it to stay set up until YOU change it?

This is a no-brainer.

5 years later and this is still an ongoing issue?!! This is so frustrating and I honestly feel like this will never be fixed. giffgaff clearly don't care about listening to the abundance of customer complaints regarding this issue...

I was wondering why I had to set up a pin EVERY time I listen to voicemail (not frequently). It is really annoying - and expensive.

Time it was sorted

I wondered why I always had to reset - I thought it was just me!
