60 day voicemail frustration

By: andreww | 14-05-2013 16:26

A little known fact is that if you don't access your giffgaff voicemail for 60 days any customisation is lost (no pin, no personalised greeting etc) and you're not informed it has happened :smileysad:

If having gone to the trouble of setting these, to find if you did need to urgently check voicemail from another phone if would be very annoying to find you can't!

This is idea is very simple - once a PIN and/or a personalised greeting has been set - just leave it there without any time limits for it to be removed :smileywink:

I wasn't aware of this feature and it is very annoying to know. I must be changed.

The 60 day reset is extremely frustrating, and that GiffGaff offer no rational explanation or reason makes it even more annoying.

I set my voicemail as I use this number for my own business, so to discover that it is re-set every 60 days is extremely frustrating and means potential business loss.

This is the most frustrating thing I have noticed with Giffgaff. I get only occasional voicemails but when you get one it could be very important! I want to be able to access if with the pin, and for the person leaving the message to hear it is me that they're messaging. So frustrating to find it has stopped working every couple of months.

This feature has certainly made me delay recommending GiffGaff to older users who are not likely to be familiar with setting the password. In particular, I initially found problems myself before I learned how to switch on the loudspeaker since it is necessary to use the keyboard.

Thank you! I was wondering why it seems like every time I pick up voicemail, I have to set up a pin.
