60 day voicemail frustration

By: andreww | 14-05-2013 16:26

A little known fact is that if you don't access your giffgaff voicemail for 60 days any customisation is lost (no pin, no personalised greeting etc) and you're not informed it has happened :smileysad:

If having gone to the trouble of setting these, to find if you did need to urgently check voicemail from another phone if would be very annoying to find you can't!

This is idea is very simple - once a PIN and/or a personalised greeting has been set - just leave it there without any time limits for it to be removed :smileywink:

That is the best way. I don't see the need to delete everything after 60 days, especially when the phone is an active one, such as when on a plan.

At the very least, allow access to the voicemail messages on the phone that the message has been sent to without a password.

Interesting, I note Andrew raised this issue on 14-05-2013 and the comment by GiffGaff is "We're looking into it".

Over 6 years to look into a problem with no further comment. What, then, is the point of submitting a suggestion if it takes that long (and still ongoing) to get tangible response ??

The 60 day limit is a disastrous policy. Cancelling a vital service without any notification at all is a terrible way to treat your customers. It seems pretty silly to cancel it at all, but to do it without even sending a notification is downright contemptuous.
