Call Catcher on giffgaff

By: i_h8_indian_callcentres | 03-04-2010 14:34

Call Catcher gives you the facility to find out who has called if your phone has been out of coverage or switched off. Once your phone has coverage or is switched on, you will receive a text message telling you who called and the time/date.

Kudos this if you would want this feature.

Yes great idea that used to happen on one network back in the 90's when reception was a bit more flaky. Sure it was One2One

Very useful, especially after battery has died whilst out and about. Supported.

To be honest I just assumed that this feature already existed and was standard on all networks. I know this was a feature on Vodafone at least 10 years ago.

Saying that I probably don't need it that much but I have had a couple of situations where some has called me and said they called earlier and I had no notification of this. Must of been because I had no signal.

On my sim I had a voice mail by default. Currently if you call a phone that is off the network it goes straight to voice mail. That's good if the person leaves a message. If they don't you have no way of telling that someone called you.

Surely what needs to be done is send a text message if someone hits the voice mail but doesn't leave a message and the phone didn't ring first.
