Call Catcher on giffgaff

By: i_h8_indian_callcentres | 03-04-2010 14:34

Call Catcher gives you the facility to find out who has called if your phone has been out of coverage or switched off. Once your phone has coverage or is switched on, you will receive a text message telling you who called and the time/date.

Kudos this if you would want this feature.

.. and when phone is on  please and missed messages ...   saves having to constantly check phone when been away from it for a few mins ,  etc etc .  It's such an old  and basic a function can't believe GG does not have it .

??How ? Giff Gaff say they do not support this service . Maybe you misunderstood . It is a visual /audible warning telling you to check your phone  . I think you mean you get them when you check youir phone . Not the point . But I'll be happy to be wrong ...  luv to be and get them  ;-)

??I think you have missed the point misszoe...  you have to check the phone to see that notification . The point is a repeating visual/audible  warning to tell you to check your phone . We are not all constant phone checkers  ;-)

Missed call./ messgage alerts is a great and old  ( all my old non smart phones had it ) idea . Yoy are away from your phone you miss a call or message and youu have no idea of it until you check your phone ( we don't all check our phones every 10 secs ) . Is this function now being missing why there is now so much phone checking adddiction ? Why would a new ( ish ) modern provider like GG  not provide this ?

It would be great if they had this, especially for people who do not have their voicemail turned on

I've had this before I think it was on vodafone and it got a bit tiresome with being sent a text to say you had missed a call then another to say you had missed again when they redialed for a second try and then another to say they had left a voicemail then a reminder that they had left a voicemail. I think I would have rather not known all of that.
