Online usage history (itemized billing)

By: ivida | 17-02-2010 01:05

This is another idea that has been brought up several times in various forms (see usage-history tag), but

haven't yet made it to these pages. I feel very strongly about this and would like to promote this also here:

the idea is to implement a  'Usage history' or 'Itemized billing' under My_giffgaff on the webpage.

I prefer the 'Usage history', as i think the important aspects is that it enables one to monitor usage

(data is transferred, but of course also calls, and txt messages), not only the bill/balance at the end.

It would be a feature that underpins transparency and is very much in line with the philosophy

of giffgaff as an internet based and community oriented company.

Roll over any unused data, minutes and text because we pay money for credit so should get to use every little bit that's left.

I agree with that we should be able to roll over Our Data I think giffgaff would get a lot more custom if they did that

I agree then at least we can get more for our money especially if you cant afford any more credit for the month

Yes I agree that would be good especially for the data, perhaps with a clause that last month's data must least be used by the end of the next month so it can't be "abused"

That's a great idea

Totally agree ,I'm a light user and always have many mins ,texts and data left but prefer the security of a goody bag . I always feel hard done by when I see what is left at the end of the month .

Roll over should absolutely implemented. I don't understand why it is not.

Logical for Giffgaff to adopt and it would interesting to see the response

Rollover credit is a great idea, why should members not get to use what they've paid their money for?

That would be great

I would vote if the option ever arises to rollover unused mins, text and data.

Good idea but should only last the next month to stop it been abused.

I feel this is the biggest still-missing feature of giffgaff and I cannot think why technically this is difficult. Giffgaff must have their internal usage history for all users to calculate the bills.

It'll be transparency of usage done and thus the members will know what they used and when without spending extra £10 and time taken after requesting SAR.

Should be optional at customer request only. Blanket implementation is not a good idea..

either way it should be available to see.

I would like to be able to see itemised call details. I was previously on virgin and they provided this in your online account.

on: 17-10-2017 13:16

thats the same as the one above about transparency.

I think a new provider is the answer to whatever your issue is, all i see is people making comments but no answers, seek a new provider and save your energy

definitely gets my vote. I'm new and started puzzledly scour ING Google for how to do this when I couldn't see the obvious button in my dashboard. This should be an absolute essential tool, can't understand why it's not been in the feature set since day 1

by: croydongeorge
on: 23-09-2017 16:28

Absolutely! This seems a basic need so far as I'm concerned.

Please this is a long time coming, to be able to check our purchase and usage history, what a solid, fair idea!

Be much nicer as "Itemised Billing" and not American "Itemized"

by: uschibear
on: 16-09-2017 16:53

I also think this is really important. Especially if there are particular spam numbers etc to be tracked. Or to prove something in court (eg a certain person has been harrassing me with calls etc etc). It should be easily available.

I have been looking for this feature since I have joint Giffgaff. I think it is essential...

This will certainly go a long way in demonstrating giffgaff's commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction.
