Handling multiple SIMs from a single company/family account

This idea was brought up by several posts earlier (see 1,2) and Vincent has even posted

a partial solution, but apparently it hasn't yet made it to this page.

The proposal is to have the possiblity to handle more than one SIMs from

a single account. This would be useful for companies, families, couples

and any other groups, if handling of the SIMs' administration/finances

is performed by one person.

The point is not necessarily to have only a single account for the SIMs,

i understand that at the moment the system requires the creation of an

account for each SIM.

The point is much more to have the possibility to define a master account from

which you can access relevant settings of all the SIMs within the associated pool.

Not only to top-up (this is not a problem as you can top-up any number through

the giffgaff pages) but also to activate/inactivate auto top-up or set speding limits, etc.

Another important aspect of a company/family pool os SIMs would be to handle the

credits more flexibly: to have the possibility to transfer credit from one SIM to

the other. Tthere was some discussion about implementing some form of credit

transfere on giffgaff (1,2) - in my opinion company/family SIM pools would be a good

argument to push such a feature and also an excellent context for the development

and testing.

This would be a great help, I set up accounts for two of my son's using my email but different account names. It all gets a bit much having to remember different user names. My husband set an account up for our other son, just to make it easier for me. I would also like to change my supplier but keep my number but this would mean setting up yet another account. Having it all under one account would make it all so much easier.

I manage my son’s sim account at the moment in my name using 2 different accounts.

It would be better to manage both together, but when he’s older I could hopefully transfer it to his own account without having to port his number out (Leaving GiffGaff) to then port it back to his own account !

(Thankfully my wife and daughter manage their own accounts)

Sounds like an excellent idea!

I have an elderly friend who I've moved/am moving to giff gaff after she had been grossly oversold a tariff from another source.

She is confused by all the 'stuff' as she calls it. It would be great if there was some way she could hand over the management to me so I can just ask her easy questions and then update her account accordingly.

I Have just joined GG and spent hours before accepting that I could not set up phones for myself and my wife on the same account... Transferrable surplus from goody bags within "multi account" group would be a significant value proposition.

Great idea but I'd recommend not only the defaults suggested but expanding somewhat.

1. Monitoring and applying limits, e.g. define data/minutes and texts so it can be moved around. Just having monitoring is no good if you cannot adjust usage.

2. Create master/slave access account logins so parents can add credit and children cannot tamper with payment settings, etc
