Add a 'Subscribe' button in mobile forum

By: khairul | 30-01-2011 14:55

I am a frequent user of the mobile giffgaff forum.

I have configured my settings such that I am automatically subscribed to topics within which I post.

However, there are some topics which I am interested in, but I do not have any input to give myself. Thus, in order to subscribe to such topics, I have to go to the full version of the site, drop down the 'Top Options' menu, select 'Subscribe', and then (finally) revert back to the mobile version by means of tinkering with the URL.

My suggestion is that you add a 'Subscribe' button within the mobile version of the forums.

(Readers: if you agree with this, please click on the arrow on the left and above, as new giffgaff policy dictates that only ideas with 10 kudos or higher will be considered for implementation.)

In our new platform, Flarum, you need to ‘follow’ any topic, thread, or TAG you want to be informed when new posts are made. … . … . You will only receive notification when First new post is posted, until you visit the thread. … . … .

I don't have any memory of this not being possible, must have been implemented before I was using Giffgaff.

I am wondering how there is so many recent votes in support, people are just commenting and voting? without a clue what the suggestion or status of the system is? Retorical question, of course they don't bother reading the suggestions lots of them don't bother writing the comments even just paste the same old****

If you click the ‘feedback’ button on the R side of the comments, you can see the idea, as it rises to the very top of the page. … . … . That is the only way I have found to quickly see what the idea is if I get a notification that there has been a new comment on an idea I was interested in. (Unless, of course, there are half a dozen ‘new’ comments, so clicking the notification link brings you back to exactly the same page of comments) ! … . … . !
