Make it easy when a card changes!

I got a text today to say you weren't able to add (my) new recurring goodybag last night. (This is because the payment card has expired).

When logging into my account, it's completely baffling how to go about adding the new card, and far from clear if that will automatically generate a new attempt to debit the card. If I go to the 'add a goodybag' page, there's no mention of the declined charge, and I'm told I'll qualify for an extra 1GB of data only after 3 months!

A good system would recognize me as I log in, ask if I want to add a new card, attempt to debit that card, and confirm the transaction as successful.

As it it, I've updated the card, but nothing's 'happened'. I guess(and it is guesswork because the site doesn't tell me) that I have to manually purchase the goodybag that's set to recurring, probably losing 1GB of data a long the way.

In summary, and with respect, it's a bit rubbish!

Following a frustrating experience on your website.

Anything that will help members use their accounts with ease is good and I understand what you mean but I think it’s fine with me. Not sure where you were looking but under “my account” all the payment details etc are there.

For security reasons, giffgaff would take any further money of you if a card has been declined. You have to do that manually.

“If I go to the 'add a goodybag' page, there's no mention of the declined charge, and I'm told I'll qualify for an extra 1GB of data only after 3 months!“

That’s the email that got sent to you the night before. Not sure where you saw the 1GB extra info because I think you misunderstood. The 1GB bonus/extra only applies each month when you bought your first 3 goodybag bundles. For getting to your 3rd goodybag, it doesn’t matter what value the first 2 goodybags you buy are.

This applies to the £10, £12, £15 and £20 goodybags only.
