Larger writing option for either older generation or people who struggle to read small writing

By: vickythefist1978 | 05-07-2019 03:54

I think giff gaff should consider that not everybody can read the stupidly small writing that A your voucher number comes with or B your app and website are in. It's high time giff gaff thought about their older or less able members. I have to read everything out for my elderly mother because she can't read the small writing even with her glasses on. Maybe a simplified option for people that are unable to read at all)(yesthese people do exist

Being Registered Blind PC and Smartphone user, I do like this idea also!

I am an advocate of all things to be accessible, and I do like the idea of either making the text bigger by means of a + button or something else. Also I know Giff Gaff are hard at work doing a few things under the hood for accessibility also...

As an old person I get my eyesight checked regularly and I have perfect vision with spectacles. So I think it would be better to encourage people to get their eyes tested.

There's a small issue if users of Giff Gaff community like myself are registered Blind or severely sight impaired, I'm 45 soon and I agree in part your comment, it lacks the hindsight of users like myself... Not picking on anyone, just my views. I have Bilateral Optic Atrophy and Macular Degeneration which I've had since my very early 20's, something I've had to get used to.

giffgaff have no control over the size of the font used on a voucher as these are issued by third-party companies.

Most phones come with a full suite of accessibility options enabling those with impaired vision to either magnify the displayed font or have the screen read to them.

No real need for giffgaff to do anything more than it does already.
