In the same way you tell us how we are getting through our SMS and minutes, why not provide a regular update on data usage. The 80% used is great, but maybe a 30% and 50% would keep tabs on usage.

This is similar to a suggestion from a few pages ago.
Like I said on the previous post it would be unworkable to do the data balance in the same fashion as with calls because data is often ongoing usage with the phone and apps accessing servers in the background. Which would mean virtually unrelenting notifications when mobile data is switched on. The idea of a data usage update every day is equally unpalatable and for many unnecessary. Incurring additional expense for Giffgaff and increasing the demand on it's system that has finite capacity for network messages.
I think that our 80% warning and free top up gigabyte is enough from Giffgaff, any more monitoring of data usage can be done by installing the correct kind of app.

Agreed! I tend to not look at my usage on the home page nd when I’m at uni, i require a lot of data, which means been cautious in other places! Defiantly agreed.
