Password manger friendly login screen

By: kimts | 18-06-2019 11:27

The current layout of the login screen puts the option to 'show password after the user name and before the password entry box. This stops anyone using a password manager auto-login facility and forces a manual entry. This is less convenient and increases security risks because longer (more secure) passwords become cumbersome and it increases the danger of the password being stolen by key loggers or 'shoulder surfing'.

Solution: Move the 'show password option to AFTER the password entry box and you will make the login screen more secure and make all those using password managers very happy!

I am assuming that this is more something to do with the type of password manager or phone, or how it's settings are configured.

Personally my autofill works every time, all I need do is tap to log in. Although I don't and wouldn't recommend the use autofill or password managers for anything that contains financial or sensitive information, because if someone succeeds to get past the phones PIN they have nothing stopping them accessing your accounts.
