when a sim expires why not allocate any credit on the SIM card to a good community cause or a gifting fund to make some good come of it.
Might need to allocate to some funding pot then say every 6 or 12 months allocate to a votes cause by members.
I support you
I wish labs would put your own comment at the top of this page so we don't all post twice by mistake
What!!!! A comment that isn't "you've got my vote" what is this?
Usually the actual reading of the suggestion is what gives you the clue whether you have commented or voted on it.
You've got my vote.

Great idea. The more money we give to help charities the better.
charity giving is a good one .....
Similar been suggested before, legal and other practical obstacles as others have mentioned.
GG contribute to charities as it is, why complicate matters.
sounds like a good idea
The SIM expiry is much too short to start with, last time I looked it was 6 months, so if I forget to send a msg every 6 months with my emergency phone, I lose it's credit?
As I've said previously, the life of an O2 SIM is over five years, if the Giffgaff SIM life was more like that duration then maybe.
Also consider the legal implications.
'Use this item you've bought from us within 6 months or we'll give it away'.
I like this idea. I don't know whether GG would be interested as currently they may benefit from credit left on expired sims. Hope GG will take this up. I have voted for.
