I know Monaco is not currently part of the EU roaming countries but I was wondering if it could be added? I went to Monaco Telecom (the only service provider in Monaco) and asked about this. They said they would contact giffgaff and inquire about adding the principality to your list of roaming countries. I think it would be a great addition, and perhaps easier to do than usual since Monaco is such a small country. I have tried connecting to french networks from within Monaco to have access to my plan but it doesn't work, the connection is either too poor or simply fails.

Let me know if this is something that might interest you. Would love for this to happen!

don't know if telefonica (o2) have a roaming agreement in place with monaco telecom..

if yes, then it would make sense for giffgaff to have it too

I don’t think giffgaff likes the cost of roaming in Monaco. It won’t benefit giffgaff otherwise they would have added it. You should have asked them if they were willing to waive any charges incurred or bringing it to par with affiliates in EU and see what they would say.

not sure it's worth it. how many giffgaffers go to monaco every year?

giffgaff already said no to switzerland which would have been more useful.

It makes a nice day trip if visiting the south of France and is popular with people on cruises round the Mediterranean sea. I did use my phone/data whilst in Monaco and got stung for non-EU rates, although it was my choice to log on the network.
