Timed diverts

By: techiebloke | 04-03-2019 20:22

This would have to be implemented via the site/app as I don't think USSD would aupport it as it's not a GSM function but would make gg unique.

It would be useful to temporarily change your divert settings so that if you were going to be in area with bad coverage with a friend on a different network or with only a landline (remember those) and have them revert on a certain day at a certain time without your intervention.

So if I knew I was going to be home all week and the signal is bad where I am I could forward my calls to my landline and have the divert revert back to voicemail on the following Monday at 9 perhaps without my having to do it.

This is a very good idea. Right now I'm spending a week in the far North of Scotland, and the places that I'm visiting have little or no connectivity on the GG/O2 network, but I can get a decent signal and decent data on EE. My cheapo Chinese phone has two full speed sim slots, so I've stuck an Asda mobile sim in for the duration - that's how I can make this posting. It would be brilliant if GG calls could be diverted to the Asda/EE number just for this week...

Could cause more problems than it helps , with members not resetting and then needing help .

Also the cost to usage may stop this one
