Increase SMS messages to 5 before they convert to MMS as not all users can accept MMS messages & they cost more as need data to use
not sure this is in the hands of giffgaff or is it a general rule for all networks
is this a giffgaff thing or a network thing in general not sure the difference but not to fussed either way
yes brill idea
Yes, a common issue with SMS I'm afraid.
I don't really know if this is something a network operator can implement on their own, or whether it would depend on the individual handset an OS to some extent.
Anyway it's easy enough to use an alternative these days, and you can tweak the settings in most handsets to warn you and not do the MMS conversion anyway.
giffgaff have no control over this..
this is industry standard.. not very good i know.. hence the reason people found the need to create instant messengers like whatsapp ..and why they are so popular.. sms will be dead within a decade..
google has developed something called rcs (rich communication services) for android phones.. soon to be deployed.. which is aimed at replacing sms within a year or 2
This would be handy, Ive been caught out before.
Go for it!
