Commented on your idea a few times, completely ignored by staffers. We really need an update now that O2 supports it and is the 3rd year that Apple releases devices that require esim to fully take advantage of their features. Anyone?

i am sure giffgaff is doing their best on getting that done, they are not doing great with duplicates though. this idea its a duplicate of my old idea and no giffgaff staff had the cortesy to looking into it...

Can't someone close this as a duplicate?

This is not really an exact duplicate of your idea as yours was for all the phone manufactures and this one is especially for an iPhone XR and this is this petson's idea name: "eSIM support for new Iphones Xr" So having a similar idea is not really a crime. I think your idea might have came a bit ahead of time as back in year 2016 eSIM was not very popular as yet.

Not down to giffgaff.

eSIM licencing is done by Apple in that only they give networks permission to access eSIMs.

The take-up across Europe has been really low with many countries only having a single eSIM 'licencee'.

You really need to chase Apple on this one.

eSIM has nothing to do with Apple, Google have had on Pixel phones for years and used it on TIM network in Italy 2017.

“eSIM licencing is done by Apple” No, no it is NOT.
