Condolences Emoji

By: chand311 | 03-02-2019 09:13

I'm writing here after when we share our beloveds death post in giffgaff community, and some give it kudos that emotionally feels bad.

Giffgaff must introduce some other emotional emogies to express the right emotions according to the situation.

Hopefully we will be able to do this.

Death emojis - this seems to be trivialising something really important where a few well chosen words would be very much more appropriate.

maybe better to post a condolence message instead.

what's wrong with using words to express your condolences? Not for me thank you

For someone who doesn't want to write.

Not an idea

We can condolences by writing some sympathy words.

Not something I would feel comfortable with.Words of condolence are sufficient.

Or why not just add more of emojis of different kinds?

Blue Leather: you will be pleased, no doubt, that Flarum (our new non-Lithium platform) supports different emoji rather than straight kudos. You can express a variety of appropriate (positive) emotions after reading a post:

Thumbs up

These all express a variety of emotions without trivialising someone’s struggles.

Very Bad idea!

I feel that you can express enuff feelings through your writing, when a close love one has passed, there simply is no emoji one would like to see. Words express alot and mean alot, any one can paste a stupid emoji whatever they are feeling. Definitely an idea I would boycott.

There are no words one can say to ease the pain of a lost love one, but I feel that adding emoji, s at an all ready difficult time adds insult to injury!

Its just not a very mature and well thought about idea, in fact it may make a grieving person feel even worse.

You can disagree but there are emoji to express grief, condolence on different social media sites.
