Giffgaff clearly needs more tech investment in my oppion don't get me wrong I do like giffgaff for there plans no contract extra but its been proven that there 4g speed are slower than ee and vodaphone if they put some money behind the carrier 02 in this case when 5g launchs they won't make same mistakes and improve there speeds and compete with the big boys I'm sure more customers will flock to giffgaff as they doing most other things correctly

Just a thought guys

Vote if u like

Would 02 want or even allow giffgaff to improve their speeds to compete with EE, Vodafone and themselves?

They are still a business they still put in tech investment to the 02 carrier

Just a idea if they get behind to bring 5g out and put the investment behind 02 etc they roll it quicker bring new 5g handsets out only ee have rolled out 5g this year which they always do and think its bit unfair in my opinion but that's me lol

I do read the news but I've seen no mention of EE actually having rolled out 5G.

I've only seen news about limited trials/tests and announcements of where it will be available when they roll it out, plus there are no 5G phones or devices available in the shop on their website.

Which cities and when was it rolled out?

No provider anywhere has rolled out 5g its still very much in development and will be for some time to come not to mention the very high cost the number of masts required is much high than any generation to date masts require premition to put up by land owners fully expect 5g service to be expensive most likely much more limited coverage Vs existing 4g
