Giffgaff to roll out 5g sooner rather then years down the line and being behind in the mobile pack. put more investment into faster speeds etc

Please vote if this sounds a good idea only my second idea lol and share my post please

I am happy with 4G atm that is perfectly fine indeed. :)

I don't think you understand Giffgaff's business model. They are a virtual operator, which means that they pay another provider (in this case O2) for access to their network infrastructure. They will therefore always be a little bit behind when it comes to introducing new technologies like 5G because O2 will make it available to their own customers first.

02 own giffgaff i like to see it equally switched on for all customers tbh I probably jump ship and go to who offers it first likely ee in this case

As I said, I'm not sure you understand the business model. O2 is the premium brand and giffgaff is the budget brand. In order to justify charging more, the premium brand has to offer something that the budget brand doesn't. In this case, contracts with the latest phones and earlier access to new network technology (like 4G when it was introduced and 5G when that gets rolled out).

Hi hedge30 yes it would be wonderful for members to have 5g but realistically many members are struggling to get 3g & 4g nevermind 5g,so for me now is not the right time but definetly in the future

I very much doubt anyone is struggling to get 3g it's widely available eg 98-99% coverage i in a dead end town and I get 4g in the woods you just scare mongering people plus the fact in the press and tech specs for 5g it will be better coverage and capacity more users will be able to connect at once through and through 5g will be better tbh if giffgaff can not keep up with other players at lot of people may have to consider moving to a 5g player people want quick speeds to play games stream music/videos etc etc you have to consider 4k might be the new standard one day and 4g won't keep up

Homework of the week; RE-SEARCH 5G Bioweapon, health effects of ElectroMagnetic Radiation [EMF] & you will soon be saying no to 5G... It is made in part in China & tested as a military weapon in Israel... Sweden has already banned 5G in their country & it should be banned everywhere...

it is good to keep up with the Pack but we have to be realistic I haven't got a 5G phone and I'm sure I'm not going to get one anytime soon so I'm not too fast about it but I'm sure others are I'm sure we'll get there in the end keep up the good work giffgaff
