Giffgaff still struggling on 4G packages because they are using O2 network, how they will co-op 5G? Would be difficult.

I can't see any advantage in having 5g on Giffgaff as you could use up all your monthly data allowance in an hour or less.

I be happy to have 4g speeds instead of 500Kb/s.

Anyway I don't imagine that it's down to GG to invest in infrastructure as they use the network provided by o2.

They said that about 4g when it released you not gonna use it in an hour there is loads of advantages better coverage faster uploads/download increase capacity 4k streaming a rated games being able to play on it etc smart meters driverless cars connecting to it the list will go on plus the fact I'm stuck on crappy wired broadband stuck at 36mb 5g in theory will be the death of wired broadband I carnt wait no more line rental

Great idea because soon the latest phones will have 5G and it's best to appeal to all kinds of customers plus like you say why not have faster speeds.

Who knows just what 5G will bring. I guess many will have to change phone's before giffgaff find it viable.

Just change ur phone when it breaks etc and upgrade then I've just been reading about 5g according to ee it will be quicker more stable and handle more data demand and better coverage I carnt wait just waiting for giffgaff to bring the new p30 out which should be 5g enabled
