Giffgaff to roll out 5g sooner rather then years down the line and being behind in the mobile pack. put more investment into faster speeds etc
Please vote if this sounds a good idea only my second idea lol
Yes i agree but not option giffgaff can provide until 02 roll it over
5G is extremely dangerous for the public in terms of health and cybersecurity. (This is based upon the news and health articles I have read)
That is why the UK amongst a few other countries including Canada and Australia have decided NOT to deploy 5G as of yet.
There is currently a lot of mystery and fear surrounding 5G on a global scale.
So I would hold your horses for now on the 5G implementation idea. At the end of the day it is at the UK government's discretion to ultimately decide whether 5G is to be deployed or not.
What u on about then why are EE rolling out to big cities from march 2019
Another scare monger amony us folks you lot said that about smart meters they still being rolled out lol be left in the dark ages
So u telling.u not gonna upgrade to 5g if u do ya research properly 4g also has health risks what ya point here
Plus 5g has government backing it had a massive government cash injection basically green lighting it
Future thinking perhaps, but it hasn't been long since giffgaff went to 4G. Definitely one for the future
yes but we have to wait
i think rolling it out later means you get to get a better service as any issues and teething problems are sorted by then
4g is fine for me
As tech and phones evolve and capable of 4k streaming and better gaming your 4g will not be able to keep up
I am happy with 4G atm that is perfectly fine indeed. :)
I don't think you understand Giffgaff's business model. They are a virtual operator, which means that they pay another provider (in this case O2) for access to their network infrastructure. They will therefore always be a little bit behind when it comes to introducing new technologies like 5G because O2 will make it available to their own customers first.
02 own giffgaff i like to see it equally switched on for all customers tbh I probably jump ship and go to who offers it first likely ee in this case
As I said, I'm not sure you understand the business model. O2 is the premium brand and giffgaff is the budget brand. In order to justify charging more, the premium brand has to offer something that the budget brand doesn't. In this case, contracts with the latest phones and earlier access to new network technology (like 4G when it was introduced and 5G when that gets rolled out).
ill support it but we wish
