Real unlimited data

Was thinking on the unlimited data bundle do we really need a speed cap after 20gb in today's modern world
I like to see unlimited data with no speed caps. No reason to slow down
Or make a new bundle with true unlimited no restrictions etc
Jesus 5g is round the corner lol
Unlimted means unlimited in my book
Give a vote if u agree

Smarty unlimited sounds far better and their other deals are cheaper...

Yep and 3 do a good unlimited sin

Yeah but Three's coverage sucks compared to O2, yeah Three have much faster data speeds but coverage is more important

There's nothing wrong with Threes speed or coverage. I used them for years before foolishly coming back here.

threes speed and coverage is good. their price is very competitive also.

I foolishly entered into an unlimited Three 2 year contract. It's complete rubbish, it's like their network is saturated. I use it for work and I've found it necessary to buy an 80G goodybag from Giffgaff to get reliable data for work tasks.

The problem with Smarty is the coverage, outside big cities or town centres is rubbish. I foolishly switched from Giffgaff 80 GB to Smarty 100 GB for £15/mo at the beginning of the lockdown and was on data for a few hours only. I went back to Giffgaff a few days later and claimed money back. I also sent a petition for an unlimited data plan, I don't have broadband and need to rely on a dongle so 80 GB is not enough since I'm working from home.

I had three network after switching from here to three, biggest mistake ever.. AWFULL COVERAGE... back on giffgaff, all great now.

yes I agree unlimited should mean unlimited in my book .

Great idea.

Yes...I'm in a rural location with very slow landline broadband and so thought that even with throttling the giffgaff unlimited would be a feasible alternative, but no way. I just didn't realise how slow it would be after using up 20Gb. Have reverted to three, which at present is cheaper and no throttling...only trouble is reception for three is not as good in my village...:( Giffgaff please bring in unlimited data with no throttling...! My whole family of five are on giffgaff and generally speaking think it is great service, but we need true unlimited bundle option

I'm trying to get them to abolish the speed caps it don't seem right to have speed caps on any data plans in this fast pace world with everything connected Three do a Unlimted data plans I don't think they have a speed cap

Surely if it's advertised as 'unlimited data' it's false advertising if it's not.
Your not getting what your paying for.
Just my observation.
on: 22-02-2019 00:44
That's why it's 'Always On' and not unlimited!
on: 22-02-2019 20:40
I agree to both comments I like to see the speed caps gone as well
on: 22-02-2019 21:38
I agree
on: 01-12-2020 22:11
totally agree unlimited means unlimited so shouldn't be getting messages saying u have used or nearly used all the data

Shows just how often (i.e. not very often...) giffgaff update these labs pages as there is now an Unlimited Golden Goodybag and has been for a few weeks! (yes, yes, there is a Fair Usage Policy, but most of the other networks have this, e.g. O2 is 650GB per month, EE is 1000GB per month etc.).

yes true unlimited data would be perfect, I stopped from three unlimited and that was Brill no problems at all and grate signal, unfortunately giffgaff I'm little disappointed especially signal
