Pinned post

Since we had the outage start of this month we getting hundreds of post in the community about it.. Same about the payback and the 'compensation' . Wouldn't it be helpful to create a pinned post on top of the help board where admins can post updates. A lot user don't read on the announcement board.

I don't know if it's been suggested before, just an idea ????

Although a good idea, sadly many people don't read pinned / sticky threads. :(

A lot of people are happy to just come on the forum and make a specific thread about whatever it is they want to ask about. They want answers tailored to them. Even though many a times, this means us having to actually refer them to other threads- like in the announcement section etc! I do agree though, that not many people would check the actual announcement section, so you have my vote. :)

We have the announcment section and in the outage we had a pinned post in help , we also get a payback update post in contribute

For how long though? a generic text was sent across board to members with instructions therein about compensation etc. I don’t think a pinned post is necessary. If you see one, point them to the announcement thread.

That would be handy idea.

This, in theory is good idea, but then community would be full of pinned posts with admin updates.

I think the announcement board if the best place and to me is self explanitory.
