Offer Agent support via WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger?

Given that many companies are doing this already, would it be practical for giffgaff to offer Agent Support via WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger?

Or simply in the giffgaff app to keep it more streamlined and simple? Much quicker but the Facebook idea is good even if it was to notify us of a Support message in the app?

Facebook is a no no, thats best left alone.

However, i do feel it would be a positive move for members to have more ways to contact giffgaff. Even though it does have a very good support system in place, i do feel there is room for improvement.

Helping on Help and support, has made me have a rethink on this idea,

I can see your point, however I feel the current support methods work extremely well, not least because they are integrated via a dedicated platform.

That way you have seamless access to escalation, educators, community articles etc.

Best to keep this all in one place I feel. Plus the gg team retain granular control across the various parts of one platform, as well as it residing on their servers.

No sorry. Many on Giffgaff won't use FB etc. It would possibly also open up another door for the bad guys to get into our accounts. On top of which Agents are likely busy enough already. If they are expected to answer instantly, Giffgaff will need to employ many more Agents with will mean costs will soar and then those costs will have to be passed onto us.
