Remaining data texts

By: hatee15 | 06-10-2018 21:51

Okay so here's my idea let me know what you think..

So at the moment when you begin to run out if data you get a text which is similar to ''just a quick heads up you have used 80% of your data" now I don't know if its just me but when I get a message like this i immediately want to go and check my remaining amount by going to the giffgaff dashboard. This is all well and good but just to make things simpler why not include that info on the text? This is nothing revolutionary but would save people time having to go to the giffgaff website / app. It would look something like this:

"Just a quick heads up

you have 100MB of data remaining"

Also in some cases going into your browser to search giffgaff can eat up more data (including background data) so this would stop that from happening.

thats true and a great idea! . a figure of how much data that 80% represent would be much helpful to everyone. can't see an issue with that and it will be easy for GG to make the change.

well done for this idea!!!

I think I like this idea too. Make it simpler. 80% of what goodbag data allowance remaining?

Better and clearer with your suggestion.

100% agreed. If they can tell you you're close to the limit they can tell you how close.

If it's technically possible to do this it seems like a very good idea....

Not sure this is needed. If you've used 80% surely you know how much is left since you know the size of your goody bag. It's simple maths isn't it?

Exactly so !!

Settings/Connections/Data usage/Mobile data verify it for yourself. Oh! By the way, if you have bought a “Goodybag“ of £10.00, or more then you have bought a “Goodybag“ of the stated data capacity plus 1 GigaByte so their claimed “generosity“ is not when you (supposedly) exceed your allowance.
