To help the elderly have a QR code or barcode sticker on the back of the mobile phone go to shop and scan it for the amount they want to top up for also linked to their account

We need to have a sim just for the elderly with a the price and a a5 pound sticker or 10 pound and so.on

Telling them haw to get started haw to get it all set up everything that need to no...

No one's calling you useless pal I'm not saying that all what I'm saying some elderly people do struggle to top up the phone why not make it easier even I would use it come on what's worse than if you haven't your bank card on you and you want to get a top-up what's easier than having a sticker on the back of your phone and then scanning it and that's it topped up come on

My grandparents are very capable of topping up without the aid of stickers on the back of their phones.

They'd be quite insulted if i even suggested it actually

Why the incorrect assumption that all elderly people are helpless?

If you look at the Help & Support Forum, you may deduce that a significant number of those answering are well beyond the first flush of youth; it appears to me frequently that the OP's are in fact a lot younger, judging by language style used.

Assuming that your idea were to be adopted, who would pay for the necessary software/hardware?

What's to stop us elderly people setting up an auto top-up on their account or an auto recur on goodybags - surely it would be easier and save us having to drive our mobility scooters to the shops (I'm sure we must all use them !!!)

I don't know why you are fixated with the idea that it is elderly people who need this help. You are making a sweeping statement - surely you can see from these early replies that there are quite a few of us more senior citizens who do not need this. I really think that you would do better to think up or support a more inclusive idea that worked for the majority across all age ranges. I think that you are looking at tech ability and this is definitely not linked to age alone.

I spoke to most elderly people about auto top up there with a bank card none not most elderly people do not want to have the bank details online because they got it drilled into the heads that it's dangerous to put the cards online so I'm not saying everybody is going to agree with you but maybe 60% of elderly people will not use auto top up the want it the easier way and this is the easiest way that I can think of what's a sticker on the back of the mobile phone for it to set up something easy if you can think of I'm only trying to help
