A few parents/guardians have complained to giffgaff that their offspring are spending a bit too much of their time, on our community website. They believe they may do this, to earn payback and perhaps this 'excessive use' has affected their schoolwork. That is the theory at least
This idea submiits that as giffgaff already meter the hours we all spend logged into the community, that they introduce a Community Parental Control Lock CPCL for the under 16's to prevent excessive community use, for those under 16's addicted to earning payback. From December 2018 anyone under 16 will be barred from earning payback
After a set number of hours (consultation required) per day/week the CPCL would turn off the potential for earning payback until the hourly meter reset the next period.
This idea is a compromise, which might remove the necessity for banning all under 16's members from earning all Payback, which is the future intention and is set to be introduced by management on 1/12/2018 as detailed in Announcements this month (August 2018)
If you believe that this idea might be a valid alternative to banning all younger members from the entire payback scheme and losing their right to redeem future points, do leave a comment or even vote.
