Currently when recurring a goodybag/gigabag payment is taken from the default payment method - a credit/debit card or paypal account. When purchasing manually (or queueing) a goodybag it is possible to pay with our existing airtime credit balance. I propose that it be made possible to purchase recurring goodybags with airtime credit also.
When I’ve had a surplus of airtime credit I try to use it to buy my goodybags, but this means manually selecting or queueing a goodybag each month. Whilst I know some users do this naturally, I’m used to recurring mine most of the time. As it says in the settings: “set your goodybag to recur so you don't have to remember each month”.
To make it as simple as purchasing from debit/credit cards or paypal, there could be a checkbox option in the recurring settings saying “Pay with airtime credit”. This could be accompanied by a “for X number of weeks” where X is a number up to most the airtime would cover (i.e. airtime credit divided by selected goodybag cost, e.g. with £25 credit for a £5 goodybag X=5, or for a £10 goodybag X=2.) to avoid users running out of credit.
I’m not sure if there’s a reason that this wouldn’t be possible, but to me it seems a logical option for when someone wants to both use airtime credit to buy goodybags and recur. Though not necessarily a common predicament, it is quite a small fix and one that simply brings together two existing features for the better.
