confirmation change when buying a phone on credit

By: crispyw67 | 16-02-2018 15:38

I ordered a Phone. filled in the details to apply for credit to pay for it over 24 months as well as added payment details for the £25 upfront charge, then pressed submit but I had no email confirmation that anything was in progress, and I could find no details of my order on the giffgaff page. I contacted your customer team and they told me that I wouldn't receive anything as I it was in the hands of Ratesetter

So - my idea is to send a simple courtesy text or email to say 'your loan application has been passed to Ratesetter and they wll be in touch within 24 hours?'

Also once my loan was approved, the email had a link to say 'Purchase your Phone' and when I logged into giffgaff there were no details of my previous request to order - I had to input everything again. - card details, bank details etc etc -

So another idea - save the order request details in the customer account with a 'pending agreement' status?

Curently it is a terrible customer experience - once the details have been entered and the broweser closed, there is no way of knowing that any order or loan request has been submitted.

Excellent but simple. Makes the process more user friendly.

Good idea, just a simple email or text message to show the progress of order would make things like this so much easier for the customer

Wondering which of the two suggestions that Giffgaff are saying has been implemented?
