South Korea

Allow roaming in South Korea. I was unable to use my mobile whilst there, and I notice that others have had the same problem. I frequently use a website that texts a code to my recorded phone number if I'm accessing from another location. I was unable to receive such texts.

I think whether a giffgaff phone can or cannot be used anyone would be better off using a local sim economically at least.

As already noted, likely to be outside giffgaff's powers to influence, unless it wants to become a yearly credit account based service.

It's probably nothing to do with GG or 02, much more likely a Korean restriction on foreign PAYG roaming.  Japan introduced a ban on roaming by overseas visitors using PAYG a couple of months ago as part of a campaign to prevent phones being used in scams.

O2 do not offer this service on payg so it's probably a non starter

Surely this is a question of whether GG can do a deal with the local networks. As they obviously have done deals with very many countries, it woudl be interesting to know why not S. Korea
