Amend REFURB phone terms and conditions

By: timwilliams25 | 31-07-2015 20:52

I have received a message today saying giffgaff are trialling REFURB phone and they come with a full 12 month warranty.

~~Our refurbished phones are shipped in plain cardboard boxes and come with a data cable. Our refurbished phones are NOT supplied with additional software, phone guide, (however this can be downloaded from the manufacturers website) or any accessories. All refurbished phones come with a 12 month warranty.

Yet the giffgaff terms and conditions state that the warranty period is only 3 months. https://www.giffgaff.com/terms#DeviceOrders - section 9.17

This need to be rectified to avoid confusion and to also ensure buyers do not claim misselling of items in the future.

Seems like the implementation wasn't even believed by timwilliams25 who submitted it. I am seeing a pattern of what Giffgaff are doing here

Until this gets amended giffgaff have to be aware that any refurb phones sold with this set of terms and conditions will stand, best get your lawyers rewording it before you start selling them.
