pause on goodybags

By: kerensac | 27-05-2015 00:00

would it be possible to pause a goodybag if you go abroad on holiday for 2 weeks you cant use any of your goodybag while your away so would it be possible to pause the goodybag for a time limit of 2 weeks or whatever you pick till you come back even if you only have so many times your able to use it, seems a waste if you pay for a months goodybag and only get to use it for half the time

Since this idea was submitted, the price structure has changed so that an active goodybag will entitle you to a discount rate for using airtime credit when EU Roaming (though not International Roaming).  Therefore there will be fewer people wanting to pause their goodybag and not get the discount.

Another problem is that it would be too expensive for giffgaff if it was possible to leave a goodybag paused for several months and just unpause it whenever you wanted to make a call.  Might need to only allow one pause per goodybag, and only for a limited period.

A pause like this could be a solution for those people who want to schedule a goodybag to start in the future, as they don't want it to start immediately.

Although a large portion of holidays are taken within the EU. There are lots of folk who go further afield ;-)

I don't see a scenario when this can be useful but life can be funny sometime.

Not so much of a problem at present with EU roaming rules, perhaps if it was a simple matter for giffgaff to do say once out of every dozen goody bags.

I think it is best that you plan for your holidays and just get a £5 goody bag if part of it is not going to be able to be made use of because of holiday or something

Unfortunately we don't get breaks in paying for the other necessities of life when on holiday didn't even get refunded our car road fund when everyone was stuck at home for three months thanks to the appalling mishandling of the coronovirus outbreak here
