free voicemail with or without credit

By: lawarcbur79 | 31-07-2014 10:14

i think we should receive our voicemails free with or without credit as long as you have topped up in the last 3 months, there is nothing more frustrating than missing a call and you have used up all your mins, i think this could give giffgaff another edge again in the market.

It would be great if voicemail calls didn't charge; or, I would still be much happier if it voicemail minutes come out of goodybag bought minutes.

Also I love the suggestion by

about at the very least a text with time, date & number of who left the message so we can judge whether or not to pay to check the message.

Free voicemail is a great idea.

I support the idea, particularly if gordie10's varaiation from May 2015 could be implemented. Free to all users all the time. After all the original caller who left the voicemail has paid (or used some of his allowance) to make the call, and its only because the recipient was unavailable that it went to voicemail. Free all the time to all gg'ers would be an additional selling point for potential new users when they compare gg's benefits with all the other networks. Go for it!

@kim_x,  "At minimum, perhaps a facility to skip some messages. My Auntie occasionally leaves me blank messages and I'm unable to retrieve further messages from others (which may be actual messages) until I pay to listen to the silence that she has accidentally left me!"

I think voicemail is 8p per call (accoding to the pricing list), not per minute, so it's not actually costing you any more to listen to the blank messages (just the cost in your time)

Gets my vote also.

At minimum, perhaps a facility to skip some messages. My Auntie occasionally leaves me blank messages and I'm unable to retrieve further messages from others (which may be actual messages) until I pay to listen to the silence that she has accidentally left me!

To minimise expense, perhaps there could be a minimum use threshold applied to receiving voicemail free of charge (similar to the add funds every three months or more to continue to receive free to giffgaff calls and texts.)

An old idea, but popular and gets my vote!
