free voicemail with or without credit

i think we should receive our voicemails free with or without credit as long as you have topped up in the last 3 months, there is nothing more frustrating than missing a call and you have used up all your mins, i think this could give giffgaff another edge again in the market.

Not supported. This costs giffgaff money.

Something that I always wondered should be included.. 3 months from top-up would be a good suggestion. Completely free would be even better. Voicemail is a life saver and essential service which will be used well by budget concious people if given for free..

I'm sure there are options to be considered along these lines. Free voicemail in certain circumstances would be a popular idea amongst users and make commercial sense too.

This would be a great idea - and a selling point as people can and do choose a network based on a singe feature such as this - many years ago it was why I joined one-2-one. Then I stayed with them for years. Much better here with giffgaff, but you get my point!

This is a nice idea. I'm sure voicemail was free on another network I have used before and it was useful.

It may not be a charity wasbigbob40, but most other companies offer free voicemail so why shouldn't GiffGaff?

I've just left TalkTalk who are also small in the mobile market (maybe smaller than GG?) and piggyback off Vodaphone, but i had free voicemail with them.

I support this but is it financially viable for gg.. not a charity after all.

A good idea, with the 3 month top up caveat. I don't think it should be free without this caveat as has been suggested below - someone could then just use giffgaff as a free voicemail service at giffgaff's expense and without ever contributing. The minimum £10 top up over three months equates to £3.33 per month, which surely makes it affordable even to low users.
