Non Expiring Data Sim

By: borg42 | 29-06-2014 20:48

I think this would be a fairer way of operating the gigabags. The product is sold on the basis of the amount of data. presumably GiffGaff would be happy for me to use the amount of data on my gigabag within the specified time. So if I've paid for that amount of data I should be allowed to use it all however long it takes.

I'm sure if I used all my allowance i a week GiffGaff would be more than happy to let me purchase another.

Come on GiffGaff step up and provide a product nobody else is. I'm sure you would have floods of tablet and low usage users flocking to buy your data sims. :smileyhappy:

My usage peaks and troughs, so seriously thinking of switching to Three's 12Gb with 12 months to use it £30.55 SIM:

some companies let you carry over your data allowance. I think sky do. Or have more data tariffs?

It is hard to do this as we also need to think whether it is profitable to giffgaff as well. It is a marvelous idea. Maybe to change the idea a bit by possibly adding another set of price to the goodybag/gigabag. E.g Price paid to remove the expiry. Just a bit of charge I reckon would be awesome to both parties

I think it's only fair actually. Why should credit not roll over, up to a limit at least?

i actually suggested that idea when taking the "gigabag survey" which had no follow up... gets my vote.

i would definitely buy a product like that, or let's say a 100days gigabag, etc. just a gigabag with longer duration overall.

Good idea.. I have in the past not used 2GB data, text or phone as much as i thought. What a waste. So this would be fairer. Also there are other who just have a mobile in there pocket for emergency. I would be much happier.

yes there should be some incentive to purchase a gigabag the data to cost ratio isn't incentivising open ended expiry would help
