Non Expiring Data Sim

By: borg42 | 29-06-2014 20:48

I think this would be a fairer way of operating the gigabags. The product is sold on the basis of the amount of data. presumably GiffGaff would be happy for me to use the amount of data on my gigabag within the specified time. So if I've paid for that amount of data I should be allowed to use it all however long it takes.
I'm sure if I used all my allowance i a week GiffGaff would be more than happy to let me purchase another.
Come on GiffGaff step up and provide a product nobody else is. I'm sure you would have floods of tablet and low usage users flocking to buy your data sims.
Cheers

I agree with this. I would like to see this idea extended to data in goody bags too.
on: 18-02-2018 17:39
So would I like to see this also as I never fully use all my data so should be added to month after as long as you keep topping up each month
on: 16-04-2018 08:35
Yes in goody bags as well- you've paid for the data use so it should roll over
on: 27-12-2017 00:41
Yes, definitely the goody bags!
on: 24-04-2018 21:27
If you pay for it and not use it in the monthly goody bag it should roll over to it expires
on: 01-05-2018 01:22
I agree, it should roll-over to the following month. Come on GG get yer act together, you'll increase yer client count.. 'PEACE'
on: 17-06-2018 11:54
Or it should go into a piggybank that you can call on any time.
on: 04-07-2018 09:41
I only buy a goodybag when going abroad, and often have lots of calls & texts 'left over'. I don't understand why goodybags or gigbags have to expire, except to make us pay more!
on: 14-06-2019 05:12
That's great in principle but it will it really help you. So you have left over data rolling over to next month. You still have to buy a new goodybag for the minutes and texts. So you still have to pay for a package. When you buy a your goodybag it's more like a rental than a purchase.
on: 09-06-2018 16:40
I agree, do it for the goodybags please, I never use all my data. It would be good to do the same with call minutes too.
on: 17-06-2018 11:57
I agree
on: 05-07-2018 17:46
Agreed

Yes agreed ????
on: 11-12-2019 19:49
Yes agreed ????
on: 16-12-2019 05:13
We need extera data on goodybag and less muints and text
on: 08-01-2020 21:34
Me too!! If we've paid for our data why can't we finish using it in a roll over? Sometimes I don't use all my data but when my goodie bag runs out I lose my last bit of data. Or I might use more the following month! ????
on: 16-01-2020 22:53
Or if you buy a £10 goody bag > give us unlimited data until end of month then we won’t be paying more for data that we will not use. Because we would pay £20 for 40 gb and lose 10> at end of month so if we are paying £10 for unlimited everything then I think people would be happier ????????
on: 30-01-2020 21:09
I agree but it would be better if we played for the data, calls n mins and we should be able to use them all with no roll over or anything until the package actually runs out...
on: 03-02-2020 22:19
Hi
on: 23-02-2020 19:29

Godd
on: 09-04-2020 21:26
Exactly should roll over
on: 14-05-2020 14:52
If Sky can and do, do this, why not as well? If you don't, you'll just be giving an extra reason for people to leave Giffgaff and go to Sky instead. I'm trying out GG for 1 month while my wife tries out Sky, both companies use the O2 network, both charge £10 per month, but Sky not only give 8GB data, they also allow unused data to rollover. Unless Sky do something to make the service ****, I can honestly see this being the 1 and only month I use Giffgaff, which is a real shame.
EDIT>>>>
Really? you filtered out an innocuous word such as c r a p ?
on: 06-09-2020 15:46
Although it is a very reasonably priced SIM, it would be nice to allow data to roll over
on: 24-09-2020 23:49
I would love to see unused data roll over to the next month and so on.
on: 20-10-2020 22:13
Yes
on: 21-01-2021 08:44
I agree , definitely a good idea !
on: 21-03-2018 06:24
Seriously, this is one of the best ideas, if I went over my data limit, allow me to purchase more when I do instead of having to wait til the end of the month, or if I don't use it all, let it roll over onto my next month, or just until I use it all!
I can go for weeks without doing any serious browsing on the go and only using wifi, then suddenly I'll go out for a couple of weeks and be on that daily youtube and instagram blogfest, I think it would be great for digital nomads, bloggers, vloggers, gamers and hikers and also just your average user who has an irregular usage pattern, also it would show that gg listens to the community and treats them fair in a "They bought it, they get to use it" sense.
Let's make this happen!
on: 01-05-2018 01:24
Totally agree Shortbreadhead ;)
on: 09-05-2018 18:38
I'm with you on this Shortbreadhead

I completly agree. Let's make it happen!!!!
on: 05-07-2018 17:47
I agree
on: 03-06-2019 13:25
Definitely agreeing that roll-overs from packages should be implemented. It really is an overall win-win situation. Come on, Giffgaff!
on: 06-06-2019 14:12
Yes. Great idea
on: 25-06-2019 09:11
I totally agree with this as I hardly ever use mine but then when I go to Spain a Few times a year I have to watch all the time for fear of going over my data as I have no internet there...
on: 03-07-2019 21:57
Brilliant idea I’m definitely on board with this idea
on: 07-12-2019 10:57
Yeah. I agree. Or it could be set aside for use when you do use up your existing data. For instance. If you buy a £10 goodybag and have say, 3 GB left at the end of the month. This would let you buy a smaller goodybag next time. Then call on your saved data from the previous month if you run out.
on: 18-12-2019 00:48
I agree with previous statement
on: 15-06-2020 20:25
As an irregular data user that's a brilliant idea. Not everyone eats data every month.
on: 10-02-2021 11:36
great agree
on: 10-02-2021 11:36
great agree
on: 22-10-2017 17:00
Brilliant as no worries for it to expire.
on: 16-03-2018 06:23
Nice
on: 19-07-2019 10:57
all data should be rolled over
on: 08-04-2020 09:36
Good
on: 03-06-2019 08:16
i would rather keep what i pay for than lose it
on: 13-11-2019 15:57
I agree, I only ever run out of data when abroad, and every month l have minutes and texts not used.
on: 21-03-2020 19:53

Well said
on: 05-07-2018 17:47
Definitely
on: 22-03-2018 13:33
how would this work for people who buy the unlimited goody bag?
on: 03-05-2018 14:10
interesting question, you could apply rollover if data use was less than x Gbytes per month, otherwise it would have to be renewed. The problem lies in choosing an acceptable figure for x. For example if x was 10 Gb, if user used 20Gb in a month it wouldn’t roll over, if they used 5Gb it would and they would have to renew when 10 was used no matter how many months.
on: 28-06-2020 06:27
Good
