Top up giffgaff via Bank ATM Cashpoints - Revisited

By: richardski | 16-05-2014 09:11

This provides a 24 Hrs on the High Streets top up facility when all the shops selling vouchers are shut and you have no access to an Internet connection.

Previously suggested as per below links and rejected as too expensive.  However other small MVNOs use it and as giffgaff numbers have increased now is a good time to review the situation.

Just see which friendly MVNO is missing from these links:

Top up your mobile

As well as topping-up your own pay-as-you-go phone, you can gift credit to friends and family simply by inputting the operator and phone number of the phone you want to credit.

Top up at any cash machine that has the green top-up logo. Just follow the instructions. The money will come out of your account and we'll send you a text to confirm. You can top up between £10 and £50.

Already works for O2 and as giffgaff use O2 vouchers should not be that difficult to set up.

All giffgaff need to do is talk to the below:

You can top-up someone else's phone direct from an ATM.
Perfect if you want to top-up your child's phone, or help your Mum or Dad top-up theirs. All you need to know is their mobile number and their network operator.

That does show there is persistent demand for this payment service.

Offer your support for this and help out people who have difficulty in reading their vouchers:smileyhappy:

i've supported the idea - however am not very optimistic that this idea will see the light of the day because it could prove to be too costly for giffgaff

More payment options for giffgaff that are secure, is good for giffgaff's business. Supported!

People who have used this on other networks are surprised when it isn't available here. Would it cost any more to provide this instead of vouchers?

I think that would be very convenient however, it wouldn't be very safe
