Hi, this is a little idea.
The minimum top up is £10 so maybe giffgaff should let us top up £5. I'm a light user and don't need much of anything. So being able to top up £5 would be nice.
I think this is something many want but as far as I know its not cost effective to process smaller payments. I will support all the same, you never know.
If the problem is having an 'odd' amount of credit left that won't cover the cost of a goodybag and adding small amounts isn't practicable, then why not allow any top-up if more than £10? Example: if you have £3 credit and need £10 for your goodybag allow a top-up of £17 to give you £20 = two goodybags.
??suggestion Submitted by: peterpiper2 on 05-06-2015 15:40 is NOT valid because
You HAVE to use up goodybags within one month - no good for someone who say only uses phone and needs £2 or £3 worth of calls in a month.
Agree 100%. I only use mobile for emergencies, so less that £5 per month.
"credit/debit card in increments of £1 with a minimum of £1 top up. I am sure this would not cost the company any more than topping up with £10."
You are right that it wouldn't cost any more in cash terms, but it would be a much bigger percentage of the topup. I don't know the figures, but 50p in a £10 topup may be affordable but 50p in a £1 topup is not. How much does it cost when you withdraw cash from a machine that is not your own bank? I believe some charge well over £1.
been suggested so many time before, but giffgaff have said that this is just not possible due to cost reasons
quite agree but this idea isn't new so it would be good if this could be combined with other similar suggestions
