Allow Goodybags to be used in EU

By: deffers90 | 03-04-2014 15:05

When the scrapping of roaming charges comes into force later on next year (see bbc news story
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26866966 ) I propose that we are able to use our normal goodybag allowance with in the EU.

I'm not if this would be in the pipeline or not but I know networks aren't allowed to charge more for calls etc than in their country of origin, but I think it would be popular with other giffgaffers

I really hope this happens. GiffGaff is great apart from when overseas. It's worth it to stay with GiffGaff, but I hope we can take advantage of the new EU roaming rules too!

Good for people on a holiday but then will it be affordable for giffgaff?

Have been on giffgaff for several years but I just activated a three sim card bought a £10 add on because I am going to france and three don't have roaming charges so I will use the three sim card with the intention to go back to giffgaff but some people who do this may never come back to giffgaff.

If there are cost implications with providing no roaming costs have a special goodybag for it. Three is 100 mins, 500MB and 3000 texts.

I can't understand why texts aren't just free everywhere forever since they use so little data!

I like this idea, maybe GG could add a EU goodybag that includes data roaming as data roaming charges are far too expensive and forces us to turn data roaming off to avoid running out of airtime credit

YES PLEASE! I am definitely in favour of that. I have already joined several discussions about it. This idea is vastly supported by giffgaffers but up till now, we have only had disapoointments.

Do take into account that many of us living in the UK have their family in Europe and travel to visit them regularly.
