Allow Goodybags to be used in EU

By: deffers90 | 03-04-2014 15:05

When the scrapping of roaming charges comes into force later on next year (see bbc news story
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26866966 ) I propose that we are able to use our normal goodybag allowance with in the EU.

I'm not if this would be in the pipeline or not but I know networks aren't allowed to charge more for calls etc than in their country of origin, but I think it would be popular with other giffgaffers

Very good idea. Please do consider this!

Great idea. Would make giffgaff even more popular. It's the only thing missing from a fantastic product.

This makes perfect sense! Even if it's a special roaming goodybag or something, there really really needs to be SOMETHING! It's not too bad with my husband on EE, we can use his phone but we won't move him to GiffGaff because we'd be totally cut off abroad :(

We had no useage this summer while roaming on a french holiday. We could see french services on the phone, but no access. We weren't prepared for this. We were restricted to wifi access points. Looking at the website we should have bought airtime. Using our existing goodybag allowance would have been so much better: seamless.

A parternship with Free Mobile (French local Broadband Company) could be a good idea. The they are offering very interesting EU Package offer included in their "goodybags".

This would be really good but I understand that additional cost may be involved.  Perhaps a special EU goodybag could be made available where you'd pay a little more but the service would be seamless and I could go on holiday or city breaks without worrying about the size of the bill I am running up.

I really hope this happens. I'm getting a new phone next month and I'll probably have to leave giffgaff because I travel for work in the EU so much, I can't afford to be on a network without any kind of roaming deals.  I really love giffgaff so even if it was a **** roaming deal I'd stay, just anything would be better than the crazy data roaming charges we have now!

I really hope this happens. GiffGaff is great apart from when overseas. It's worth it to stay with GiffGaff, but I hope we can take advantage of the new EU roaming rules too!
