Allow Goodybags to be used in EU

By: deffers90 | 03-04-2014 15:05

When the scrapping of roaming charges comes into force later on next year (see bbc news story
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26866966 ) I propose that we are able to use our normal goodybag allowance with in the EU.

I'm not if this would be in the pipeline or not but I know networks aren't allowed to charge more for calls etc than in their country of origin, but I think it would be popular with other giffgaffers

This is a fantastic idea.  Even if it can't be rolled out across the EU, how about at least including the Channell Islands?

Brilliant idea especially, always irks me when we go abroad as a family (we are all on giffgaff) we miss out en masse. Would be great to redress this situation. Thumbs up from me!

100% agree with this. Everyone is fed up with these charges. It would be another compelling reason to stay with/join giffgaff.

I agree with Kim that if I know I'm going abroad, I'll let my goodybag expire and not be paying while I'm away.

This would be amazing and really beneficial, even just to use maps and not be reliant on WiFi as some countries don't seem to prevalent WiFi in restaurants and coffee shops.

Agree with the proposal but why limit it to the EU? Other providers already allow use in other countries beyond the EU. Last year the entire family went to Thailand, we all swapped our Sims for Thai sims to avoid roaming charges for the month we were there. This year just me and the wife went. We would prefer to keep our Giff Gaff sims active

As I am currently sitting in Austria, with only minimal internet access, I feel this id an excellent idea. Before leaving the UK I always let my goody bag expire and turn off roving data, as I know that it will cost me extra once I leave the UK. This is also the reason I do not have my goody bags reccoring.

this is a good start and the calls to all landline and mobile in EU from the UK should be included in the goodybags too to make it effectively one network.

Great idea!

I usually use another network whilst abroad, if my Goodgybag worked it would save me going elsewhere

Great idea! I go to dublin quite regularly so this would really be fantastic...
