Allow Goodybags to be used in EU

By: deffers90 | 03-04-2014 15:05

When the scrapping of roaming charges comes into force later on next year (see bbc news story
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26866966 ) I propose that we are able to use our normal goodybag allowance with in the EU.

I'm not if this would be in the pipeline or not but I know networks aren't allowed to charge more for calls etc than in their country of origin, but I think it would be popular with other giffgaffers

I suspect that GG hands are tied until they see what O2 decides to go but regardless I would have to say that not adopting this would be a dangewrous decision to make if the competition all decided to do this.. I would hate to with a provider that always plays catch up!

If this one doesn't go ahead, giffgaff should at least consider a roaming bolt on or temporary pre pay option to provide affordable calls, texts and data sbroad.

Three already do this, even on PAYG SIMs. Please catch up GiffGaff.

Not sure how practicl, but nice idea and all for it if possible. GG (and others) would get a good boost intraffic if this were adopted.

This summer when I went to Spain I did not use my phone as the costs were too high. I think that giffgaff should become European minded. Wifi can be difficult to access abroad. Other phone networks are easier to use abroad. Come on giffgaff, you could take a lead on an international community!

Not sure if this will happen but I would be delighted if it dId.  I can usually find wifi somewhere but not always when I want it.  I don't go to Europe very often but when I do I always switch of data. I did discover last year that maps work when data is switched off.   Very useful.

I'm going to Cyprus on Saturday and would love this to happen before then! The Wi Fi is ropey to say the least out there so goodness knows how much this is going to cost us.
