Reduced giffgaff to giffgaff roaming rates

By: rg6 | 18-02-2014 14:49

My daughter will soon be spending 18 months in the USA. We are both on giffgaff. It would be free for me to call her but would cost her £1 per minute to receive the calls, so obviously I'm not going to do it and will skype or find an alternative cheaper network.

Would it not be a good idea to offer reduced-price giffgaff to giffgaff roaming rates? It would generate some income which would otherwise be lost if skype or another network was used.

Just make decent provision for overseas coverage no more of the£1 a minute nonsense (don't even mention the£5 per megabyte)

Recently, I went on a business trip to the USA. In order to avoid paying £1 per minute for calls and 20p per MB for data, I ended up buying a Three PAYG SIM and using their "Feel at Home" tariff I was able to use the included data and minutes on my trip. I would have preferred not to have swapped my SIM to get a good deal!
