Personal profile link

By: mattsmith100 | 30-01-2014 18:30

Original post in contribute.

Hey guys!

Simple little thing. When giffgaff changed the website layout a few months ago to have these new tabs and lots of new links to parts of the website, I liked it a lot, apart from one link:

At the moment it links to:

which is just a different part of the preferences section which is linked in the 'preferences' link below that, making the 'personal profile' button a bit pointless at the moment.

I think it should be linked to:

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1169193 (well that's my profile, but it would be the profile of the user)

making it be the same link as

on the main forum.

This is a much more useful link, where you can see your recent posts/stats/kudos/etc, and you'll be able to get to it in one click, rather than having to go into the community, then into the button above.

Only a small change, but I think it'll make navigating giffgaff even more efficient.

Let me know what you guys think :smileyhappy:

To be perfectly honest this is simply a mistake/bug that was raised in contribute soon after the new site had been put live.  It's ridiculous that it hasn't been corrected since then.  I normally wouldn't vote for simple bug fixes as an idea but I like to be informed when it's fixed.

I think the  banners that are on the community posts should be changed, after all displaying a banner that advertises giffgaff to giffgaff users is pointless
