Topup via PayPal

By: peter | 19-04-2010 22:55

Hello,

There was the problem with the topups and it has made me think, why not introduce Topups by PayPal?

What do you think?

Kudos if you like.

More flexibility on topups.Great!I think this topup option will increase the giffgaff topups with +2% / month.

Hi all,

We have two amazing news - the weather is FANTASTIC and the PayPal payment option has gone LIVE. So hurray to that!

Luckily, we managed to pass all the issues that delayed this to happen and finally the announcement is out and you can find it over here: https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Announcements/PayPal-is-live/td-p/18582464

Thanks everyone for voting and @peter for submitting this idea. Slowly but surely - we made it.

Have a lovely evening all - Aggy out.

I'd also like to see "set up your goody bag via Paypal" I don't really do one off top ups so it would be much more useful to set the recurring goody bag payment to be processed via PayPal

I think it would be great idea, depending on how much the extra fee from PayPal. It would be good if it was extended to Goodybags aswell. Definitely worth looking into it as another option for people.

I think it would be a great idea - so convenient and flexible - no worries about hackers stealing card details.

I haven't checked all the comments, but I expect most will be in favour. In my experience of PayPal - limited because it would be a last resort, anyone with any regard for protecting their financial imformation should avoid using it if at all possible. For me, PayPal is the source of more fishing emails than any other source. And it introduces extra risk between the customer and the card-issuer.
