Point-by-point instructions, esp in 'knowledge base'.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this suggestion, but here goes.

There's a lot of helpful advice in the knowedge base and some of the other links, but it's often a bit too 'wordy', especially for an older user like me, and there are lots of technical terms and concepts that I don't have a clue about. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's older and not 'techno-savvy'. And I know that people with dyslexia and other things that restrict their reading often find wordy insrtuctions etc pretty close to incomprehensible.

My idea.

Could there be a 'Simple How-To' category, with  menu-type instructions with essentials in bold, such as:-

To transfer existing number to giffgaff -

  1. Ring existing provider and ask for PAC code. This will probably be texted or emailed to you.
  2. Log in to giffgaff, go to Register, enter PAC number and date you want to change.
  3. Etc Etc.

I'm sure there are people on here who could do that.

It would a) make giffgaff more inclusive and accessable, and thus b) encourage older users and people who struggle with 'wordy' sites to come to GG.

If you think this is a good idea, and care about all the people who aren't able to be part of the exclusive 'techie-club' - like me! - please support this idea. Please add kudos, to show your support.

[I also have difficulty understanding the helpful answers that are in 'text-speak' rather than English - but that's another issue!]

Troubleshooting flowcharts in downloadable pdf files might be a good way to go.

the Knowledge Base was updated and simplified about 3 or 4 years ago under the leadership of Roxy R, with a team including scrappydez, talisker35, as7861, and others. Since then, scrappydez became a WFH (work from home) Educator, dez_d, talisker35 as WFH Educator as paul_d_ and Roxy is now ‘Head of Community’ - I got involved as a dyslexic editor, trying to simplify and clarify the instructions. In the last couple of years, it has been simplified still more (in some cases, making it harder to follow!) with each instruction trying to be comprised in a single item. I have sent you a private message on your profile! Jes.

Perfectly sensible suggestion, possibly a glossary of terms wouldn't hurt
